SVP Cleveland is now...
Why a new name?
Well, it is not just a new name and brand; it’s the culmination of an organizational evolution spanning many years.
SVP Cleveland was founded more than 20 years ago as a collective of individuals coming together to address and respond to our city’s needs and challenges. Over the last several years, we’ve been reflecting on ways to deepen our collective impact; to support current leaders and efforts; and to be present in this work with humility and care. This reflection combined with learning from our more-than-20-year organizational journey, led to our board, partners, and staff recognizing the need to focus on supporting women and gender justice in Cleveland.
As we evolved, we knew we needed a new name reflective of this transformation, our future work, and how we want to show up—whichis why we are now Collaborate Cleveland.
We will work hard to live up to our new name in the eyes of the community. Together, we will co-create a Cleveland that supports and amplifies women and a region where gender justice is at the heart of our policies and practices.
This is just the beginning. We will be sharing our full strategy and new website in early 2024, but, in the meantime, visit our temporary landing page and connect with us on social media.
